The Learning Never Stops
For dentists, the learning never stops. That’s why the state of Pennsylvania requires every dentist to complete at least 30 credit hours of continuing education every two years to renew their license and remain eligible to practice their profession.
Dr. Owoc regularly exceeds the required number of continuing education credits. In fact, Dr. Owoc doesn’t just take continuing education classes — he also teaches them.
The Owoc Institute
As founder and director of the Owoc Institute, Dr. Owoc has a hand in promoting excellence and best practices in the dental implant field. The Owoc Institute is dedicated to training and educating dental clinicians and professionals throughout the world on the current surgical, prosthetic, and patient management aspects of oral implantology.
Dr. Owoc established the Owoc Institute so he could provide comprehensive instruction on dental implants to his fellow dentists. He uses his unique background to design a course of study for implant dentists that includes training from both a surgical and prosthodontic viewpoint.
Dr. Owoc is proud to be able to give back to the community by educating fellow dentists.
Dr. Owoc’s Impressive Background
Dr. Owoc has a remarkable record of achievement. To begin with, he’s a surgical prosthodontist. Prosthodontics is one of nine specialty areas of dentistry officially recognized by the American Dental Association.
In order to become a prosthodontist, Dr. Owoc had to complete an additional three years of specialized graduate study after finishing four years of dental school. Prosthodontists specialize in restorative dental procedures that involve prosthetics, which are artificial body parts, such as crowns, bridges, and dental implants.
When it comes to placing dental implants, Dr. Owoc has established himself as a leader in the field. In addition to studying at the renowned Misch International Implant Institute, Dr. Owoc has also been recognized as a Diplomate by two separate agencies, the American Board of Oral Implantology and International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Diplomate is the highest ranking that a dentist can achieve in implantology. In fact, there are fewer than 600 dentists worldwide who have been recognized as a Diplomate by the American Board of Oral Implantology
